#TravelBackThursday Honeymoon in St. Lucia

Today, in honor of our 8th wedding anniversary, we’re sharing another throwback… our honeymoon trip to the island of St. Lucia!

Jordan and I are not typically beach-goers, so this was definitely an out of the ordinary trip for us. We stayed at one of the all-inclusive Sandals resorts on the island, and was adults only, which was also a nice treat.

Since we don’t generally just hang around on the beach and at the hotel, we signed up for as many activities as we could. Our first day there we rented a small catamaran to sail around the bay.

We also went on a guided hike up to the top of the Pitons, the largest mountains in St. Lucia.

One of the best parts of the trip was getting to dive multiple times. This was Jordan and my first time diving together, and I actually got dive certified specifically for this trip.

The fish were super fun to see, even if there were a lot of nasty lion fish around (lion fish are considered an invasive species). Here are some photos from our first day of diving.

We were also able to enjoy several date night dinners on the island, and the food was fantastic.

Day 2 of diving was equally spectacular.

We had an amazing, once in a lifetime trip, and it was a fun way to celebrate our marriage. We’re excited to be celebrating 8 wonderful years together!
