Wrapping things up

It has been an absolutely insane two weeks over here in the Kraft household. From our whirlwind trip to Florida, to all of the late nights and lost sleep last week working on the house, it has been a wild ride.

Monday afternoon we were slated to have the photographer and realtor come out to take photographs and prepare the listing for our house. We have been in this house for 7 years, and for those of you just joining us, this house has been completely renovated from top to bottom during those years. We’ll be sharing a ton of final before and after transformation photos with you all so that you can see what a labor of love this house truly has been.

After photos were taken Monday we brought the kids back for one last night before loading everyone up on Tuesday and moving down to my parents’ guesthouse, about 1.5 hours south of our current home.

We’re now on night two of living in a barndominium about half the size of our current house, and honestly things are going pretty well. It definitely makes me think that living in our cottage and even the airstream will be doable down the road!

Sunset from the guest house.

The guest house is only two bedrooms, so we currently have Parker sleeping in the bunkroom with the twin beds, Charlie is in the laundry room in the pack n play, and the baby is in our room in our travel bassinet (that he is quickly outgrowing). We also have both dogs with us, as well as our cat and our snake. It’s cozy, but honestly in a lot of ways it’s nice to have less house to take care of.

We haven’t properly unpacked so there is stuff EVERYWHERE.

We spoke with our realtor this afternoon, and she has the photos and drone video back so our listing will go live tomorrow. We have our fingers crossed that we will be seeing some big offers roll in soon.

We’ll keep you all posted as we go through the sales process, but for now we are going to enjoy a small breather while we wait to hear some feedback from prospective buyers.

I hope everyone has a great week, and please wish us luck!
