2022 Project List and Resolutions

Happy new year everyone!

Today we’re going to share what our plans are for everything on our plate for 2022. It’s going to be a big year! We’ll start with our home projects.

1. Finish the Master Bathroom

Before… remember the horrible brass hardware and green tile?

We’ve been working super hard to get our master bath completed, as this is the last major project in our house before we put it on the market. Speaking of which…

2. Sell the Vineyard House

We’re going to be sad to move on from this house, even as excited as we are for the future. All three kids were born while we lived in this house, and we’ve made a lot of memories here. Prior to putting the house on the market we’re going to need to create a final punch list of small projects and repairs we’ll need to make.

3. Move into the Cottage

This is going to be a big one, as we haven’t moved in seven years! This doesn’t necessarily mean we’re going to be done with the cottage at this point, but we will at least need drywall, floors, and one bathroom to be functional in order for us to move in. We’re hoping this will be shortly after we get the Vineyard House under contract.

4. Finalize plans for Our Stone Farmhouse

Sneak Peek!

We have been working on plans for our dream house, but we’re looking forward to having these finalized so that we can move forward with financing and start building!

5. Get Aurora Roadworthy!

You knew we couldn’t leave our girl off this list. While we may not get everything finished on Aurora, we’d love to get her up and running in 2022!

We have also been making our travel plans for 2022. So far, we have the following trips lined up.

6. Kate and Jordan Getaway

We don’t know what we’re going to be doing yet, but Jordan and I want to take a long weekend just for ourselves to get away from the kiddos (and we’re pretty sure we still have some IOUs outstanding for grandparent babysitting time). If you have suggestions for where we should go, feel free to drop them in the comments section.

7. Roadtrip with the Kids

We want to do at least one this year. We may not go very far, but we’d like to get back on the road with all three kids this time.

8. Third Annual Kraft Family Vacation

2020

We’re planning a beach trip this year with the Kraft family, and we’re pretty excited about it. We’re going to be driving to our destination, since flying with three kiddos is going to be a challenge. We’re also planning for this to be a lower key vacation than our last one, where we were going going going the whole time. Can you figure out where we’re headed?

9. Backpacking Trip to Zion

Morgan, Jewels, and Jordan hiking at Glacier

We’ve been putting together plans to go backpacking this winter in Zion National Park! This will be a child-free trip with Morgan and Jewels, and we’re thrilled to have an opportunity for an adults-only trip with some of our favorite people.

As for other priorities for 2022 (and here’s more of the New Year’s Resolutions section), Jordan and I have a few of those too.

9. Get back in pre-marriage shape.

It’s a classic resolution for a reason. We both want to get in better shape and lose some weight this year. Since we’re done having babies we don’t have any more excuses not to get our butts in gear, so we’re starting out strong with some solid fitness and weight loss goals.

Prior to getting married (when we lived in Lexington, KY), we were both in pretty good shape. We ate healthy, and went running together most evenings. Schedules have become a little more challenging with the kids, but we are fitting in workouts and runs where we can, and are working towards those pre-marriage weights.

10. Cooking family dinners.

This has been a tough one. We typically make food for the kids, and then Jordan and I eat once the kiddos are in bed. We would really like to start cooking a single meal and eating together as a family in the evenings when we’re both home.

11. Spend more time with family.

It’s been a rough few years, and we’ve really missed spending time with our families. We are hoping that this year we are able to start moving back to “normal”, whatever that looks like, and spend more time with our family members that we haven’t been able to see as much as we would like due to Covid and the pandemic. Fingers crossed our kids will be able to receive their vaccines soon!

We hope you will share in our journeys this year, so stay tuned to see what we’re able to accomplish! What are you planning this year?
